The product, in the report: Nanit pro with floor stand purchased in 2022
When I disconnected the camera (as intended) from the stand one of the metal pins had come loose and fell in her crib. The camera still re -connected and worked as normal. My toddler found the metal piece in her crib and handed it to me the next day. Luckily she didnt put it in her mouth or any other dangerous body parts.

The product, in the report: Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor & Floor Stand Nanit N301 Camera SN: N301CMN23037Q0 Product SN: N301USDWM23046S4
We have a Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor & Floor Stand purchased from Amazon on April 2024. Recently the camera started falling off from the floor stand and today it fell off and hit my 12 month old baby while he was playing in the crib. After inspecting the camera and the stand, it seems like there is nothing securing the camera from the stand. It seems like it is not properly design for the camera to secure to the floor stand.

No incident, no one hurt Made Nov 30, 2024, sent to the company Dec 5, 2024, published by CPSC Dec 19, 2024
The product, in the report: Nanit Pro Baby Monitor & Flex Stand
We own a Nanit Flex Stand monitor which allows you to detach the camera from the flex stand so that it can be packed for traveling. When my husband detached the camera from the stand, the charging mechanism (which is embedded in the flex stand) came loose which not only renders the product useless but also a choking hazard- a metal piece of the flex stand charger came loose. The product was not in any way handled beyond how it is intended. Thankfully my husband noticed the metal piece fall out of the stand- it took us some time and moving furniture to retrieve it. If he had not seen this very small piece fall on the floor, our 13 month old son could have found and choked on it.

No one hurt Made Sep 5, 2023, sent to the company Sep 7, 2023, published by CPSC Sep 21, 2023
The product, in the report: baby monitor camera used with floor stand
We use the Nanit baby monitor. I removed the camera from its floor stand to use with a travel stand. This is a common thing to do with the camera as it is meant to be removable for travel. A few hours later we noticed a piece of metal in the baby’s crib. A prong had come detached from the stand and fallen into the crib. Thankfully we noticed before the baby was placed in the crib, but he could have swallowed it. It’s a small piece so I did not notice when it fell off.

No incident, no one hurt Made Sep 19, 2022, sent to the company Sep 22, 2022, published by CPSC Oct 6, 2022
The product, in the report: Nanit Pro Camera with floor stand, as specified on website: https://www.nanit.com/products/nanit-pro-camera-insights?mount=floor-stand&color=white
This report is for the Nanit video baby monitor and floor stand. The camera plugs into the stand with 2 metal prongs. It is advertised as a portable/mobile solution, designed to easily be removed and placed in other locations for travel. The system has been in use for less than 4 months and the camera has been removed from the stand only a handful of times. Data from the camera app can verify that it has been disconnected and moved very few times.
A few days ago, my spouse was removing the camera from the stand as per the instructions and one of the small metal prongs broke off. No injuries occurred as the prong wound up inside the camera housing. However, this prong could have easily fallen into our infant’s crib. It is about half an inch long and poses a choking risk.

No incident, no one hurt Made Oct 1, 2021, sent to the company Oct 19, 2021, published by CPSC Nov 2, 2021
The product, in the report: Nanit Plus Smart Baby Monitor and Wall Mount. White, plastic, dimensions (3.3 x 3.5 x 1 inches, 1 pound) FCC ID: 2AIWVN151 IC: 21649-N151 Model Nanit Plus N151
While using Nanit Plus smart baby monitor, the camera suffered a “boot sequence failure” and would no longer show video or audio of child crib. As parents, we did not receive any notification of the failure of the camera. We just assumed our child was peacefully sleeping, but we were unaware of what was going on inside the crib. Luckily, there was no injuries, but the failure of camera and lack of notification did not install any confidence or trust in this product. Especially when this is a brand-new camera that has only been used less than 6 weeks. This product advertises peace of mind for parents, and a way to monitor child’s breathing. But all of that is useless if the camera isn’t working, and the app user doesn’t know it has failed. Once we finally figured it out at 3am, I tried restarting the camera and re-pairing the camera multiple times, but with no success. Reached out to product support, who informed us the normal time line for replacement camera would be 3-5 business days.
