In may 2024 I purchased a insta360 camera and motorcycle kit. In September as I was riding the selfie stick separated for the base due to poor design / engineering with the camera attached while I was riding on the interstate. Luckily it didn’t bounce into someone’s windshield

Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 1, 2023, sent to the company Apr 4, 2023, published by CPSC Apr 18, 2023
The product, in the report: The product is a webcam. Black and made mostly of metal. It contains a gimble for rotating the camera. It’s small and the size of an adult males palm. The product is named the insta360 link
I was using an insta360 link webcam. I am using it as a camera for a stream of video to a friend. While testing it, after using the camera for about 20 minutes, I got a slight burn from handling the camera. The camera reached a temperature just over 120 degrees F. I handle the camera and move it around to view different areas of my desk. If I do not use a towel, it will be too hot to hold. The company knows that the camera is extremely hot and is not willing to modify their design to reduce the heat generated. I measured the heat of the webcam using an infrared heat sensor and it read as 122 which is above medically defined temperature to cause burns. I measured it after I burned myself to see what it was.
