The product, in the report: Photography flash unit

Godox V1s flash is hazardous and needs to be withdrawn from the market. This is a very serious issue and should not be dismissed lightly.

The hot shoe sku# GOV1SHS is made of plastic and is easily fractured and detaches from the unit. This has happened to me with the [REDACTED] equivalent and the just last week with the Godox unit that I purchased from B+H in October 2022.

I ordered a replacement flash, and two hot shoes last week and installed the shoes on the older Godox and [REDACTED] bodies. When I attached the hotshoe to the Godox flash there was an explosion and a flash of lightning two feet long from the junction. The camera and flash were in my lap. Fortunately the lightning bolt was not directed at my private parts. The camera [REDACTED] purchased from BH this year needed to be reset to factory defaults to restore normal function. The flash has been rendered non functional and displays a message that says return for service.

There is a design flaw in the shoe, and furthermore the product is hazardous with potential for injury and even death. It needs to be withdrawn from your store and the overall market.
