The product, in the report: The Eufy Baby video camera is used to monitor a baby in a crib.
My Eufy baby monitor broke off its base that is mounted to the wall. The three plastic attachment points inside the camera have snapped off. Thankfully my newborn was not in her crib at the time, but this product fault is a risk to other children. Depending on the position of the camera and crib, the camera could break off and injure or kill an infant.

The product, in the report: Eufy Spaceview baby monitor Model T83001D3 UPC X0028O3N1P
We purchased a the Eufy Spaceview baby monitor and mounted it as described in their product manual, perpendicular to the wall. On the second night we used the monitor, while our baby was sleeping, the bottom of the camera broke, causing the heavy camera to fall off the wall, while the base of the camera remained on the wall mount. Luckily we mounted the camera just outside of the crib, so it did not hit our child. After looking over reviews of this product on amazon and other sites, this seems to be a common problem. Given that many consumers may mount this camera above their baby’s crib, this seems like a serious safety risk. Even if not mounted above the crib, the risk of the unit falling from the wall and hitting a child seems high. They should provide a better mounting solution, fix this faulty base, or not recommend this perpendicular mounting option. I can’t believe they are allowing this known issue to continue.
