UPC is 860006639044 and the unique identifier barcode on this specific product involved in the incident is DM685KC4B000126. Model is DM685BU, FCC ID: 2AZ8M-BCX680, IC: 27169-BCX680, HVIN: BCX680. This product was being used by us, as consumers, and as intended to monitor our child while he is sleeping in his crib. We had been using the product daily for almost 8 weeks until the date of the incident. What happened: The camera was plugged into an electrical outlet using the manufacturer supplied power adapter on 7/12/2024 at approximately 7:30pm. A spark was observed emanating from the slits of the camera portion of the product and then a burning odor was then observed subsequent to the spark being seen. We immediately unplugged the camera and the odor remained. No injuries occurred while using the product but had we not acted swiftly this spark and what appeared to be burning electronic components could have led to a fire in our apartment. This is a potential fire hazard. We reached out to the product manufacturer on 7/12/2024 shortly after the incident occurred. As of writing 11:39 AM EST 7/13/2024, we have not received a response from the product manufacturer.
