The product, in the report: Onn tv mount 50-86 inch
I am writing to file a complaint regarding a TV wall mount purchased from Walmart that was advertised as compatible with televisions up to 90 inches.
I installed the mounts according to the provided instructions and ensured they were properly secured into the wall. Because the television is 86 inches, I actually installed two mounts to increase stability and safety.
Despite this, the metal mounting brackets attached to the back of the television bent and deformed under the weight, causing the TV to fall. As shown in the attached photos, the metal rails warped significantly at the hook points, indicating a structural failure of the mount rather than an installation issue.
A wall mount advertised for televisions up to 90 inches should be able to safely support an 86-inch TV without the mounting brackets bending or collapsing. The failure of this product presents a serious safety hazard and resulted in damage when the television fell.
I would like this incident formally reviewed and request resolution regarding the defective product.
Please advise on the next steps for submitting a product defect claim.
