No one hurt Made May 5, 2026, sent to the company May 7, 2026, published by CPSC May 21, 2026
The product, in the report: Rad Wagon e-bike
My husband was riding our Rad Wagon e-bike home from school pickup with 5 year old daughter on the back. They had just turned to come down a hill in our neighborhood when the front fork completely failed/crumpled somehow. The front dropped a foot and they started sliding down the road. He managed to keep it upright and somehow did not go over the handlebars, and fortunately there were no oncoming cars. Our daughter was buckled in her seat and the roll bar around her kept her injury-free. My husband had a few minor scratches. It is an almost 90 pound bike made of solid metal designed to commute with kids. There was no impact or potholes. It just completely failed. I have never seen anything like it. Both were very shaken up. Given its use as a kid commuting bike other families need to know this is possible.
