The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Hospital admission

The product, in the report: Jasion retrovolt pro

On July 10th 2026 at approximately 4-5pm, I was riding my newly purchased Jasion RetroVolt Pro e-bike. Approximately 20 days prior, I assembled the bicycle myself, strictly following the step-by-step visual and verbal instructions provided in Jasion’s official video assembly manual. The official video manual contained a severe, dangerous defect: it incorrectly demonstrated the front fork/wheel assembly facing backwards. By following the video exactly as directed, the geometry of the front end was critically compromised. While riding, the extreme force caused by the backward alignment caused the front wheel to suddenly and completely detach from the front fork dropouts without warning. This mechanical failure caused a catastrophic loss of control, throwing me violently from the bike. The impact resulted in severe physical trauma, including a broken hand that required orthopedic surgery, extensive road rash, and contusions.

The product, in the report: Jasion EB7 2.0

I am following up regarding the serious safety issue we reported with our Jasion EB7 2.0 e-bike.

While our son was riding the bike, the front wheel came off unexpectedly, causing him to crash and sustain injuries. This was a frightening incident that could have resulted in much more serious harm.

Although we understand you may be willing to replace the damaged parts, we do not feel that repairing this bicycle is an acceptable solution. After experiencing such a significant failure involving a critical safety component, we no longer have confidence in the safety or reliability of this particular bike.

For that reason, we are requesting that Jasion replace the entire e-bike with a new unit rather than repairing the existing one. We believe this is the appropriate resolution given the nature of the defect and the safety risk it created.
