  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Aug 10, 2026, sent to the company Aug 12, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 26, 2026

The product, in the report: JANSNO Electric Bike 20 x 4.0 Electric Bike for Adults. This is an electric fat-tire bicycle with 20 x 4.0 tires. The bicycle was purchased through Temu and was sold and shipped by Jansno Ebike. The product is unavailable in the Temu, unable to get more information, I have attached the order details.

I was riding an electric bicycle during normal use when the front wheel suddenly detached from the bicycle. The bicycle was being used by me for ordinary riding, and I was not performing any repairs, maintenance, or disassembly at the time of the incident. The front wheel detached while I was riding, causing me to lose control and fall from the bicycle. I sustained injuries as a result of the fall, including an injury to my knee.

The bicycle had only been used occasionally and infrequently. I had not repeatedly disassembled or reassembled the front wheel. After the incident, I inspected the bicycle and contacted the seller/platform regarding the safety issue. The seller later suggested that the problem may have been caused by missing fastening screws, but no evidence was provided establishing that this was the actual cause of the front wheel detachment.

I am reporting this incident because I believe the unexpected detachment of the front wheel during normal riding presents a serious safety hazard that could cause a rider to lose control, fall, and suffer serious injury.
