  1. No one hurt

Made Mar 2, 2026, sent to the company Mar 5, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 19, 2026

The product, in the report: Brand: Goat Power Bikes (San Diego, CA) Model: King Goat - 8000 watt mid drive 200lbs with PAS pedals. Color: Black

1.) Goat Power Bikes Sold me an Ebike with pedals that goes 50+ mph & weighs 200lbs on November 19th 2025 with extensive mechanical & safety issues.

2.) Bait & Switch on there website they stated minor performance issues and that a New Controller would need to be installed to improve said issues.

3.) Apon receipt of the vehicle 11/27/2026 I test road the bike with the “faulty/original controller” & discovered the following issues:

a.) No uphill performance/low torque b.) Random power cutoffs. Complete bike shut down at random times. c.) Stripped screws on battery tray and controller power wires. d.) Excessive water & mud entering & settling in controller compartment. e.) Cramped & Crimped wires due to limited space in controller compartment potentially leading to failure’s f.) Partially cut and exposed wires attached to primary power cord to cut expense of replacing new power cord. g.) having to replace both the controller and 12v converter to improve performance issues.

4.) After receiving the new controller several weeks later I installed it according to their directions only to discover the following additional or persistent issues:

a.) Throttle inconsistency - Throttle jerky having power at times and limited to no power at other times. b.) Controller & Motor over heating cutting or reducing power. c.) Ghost peddling - The pedals and PAS system are inconsistent often over powered at times or under powered at others. d.) Stripped controller screws persistent making firm connections impossible. e.) Complete 12v converter failure resulting in a lack of a function front headlight & turn signals. f) PRIMARY SAFETY ISSUE: Motor grinds and cuts power for 5 seconds when emergency braking is applied.

5.) PRIMARY SAFETY ISSUE: The king goat by Goat Power Bikes has a major safety issue that could result in severe physical harm or death... When emergency braking/locking up the brakes/Full stop the king goat will cut power to the motor for a full 5+ seconds. When the operator attempts to reengage power the motor and faulty hall sensor cause the motor to grind untill the brakes have remained in a released position for 5+ seconds. SCENARIO: Emergency braking if someone stops in front of operator. Vehicle directly behind possibly a large truck can’t stop in time. The operator of the King Goat WILL BE UNABLE TO RE APPLY THROTTLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY & UNABLE TO AVOIDING IMPACT FROM FOLLOWING VEHICLE RESULTING IN SEVERE PHYSICAL HARM & DEATH.

6.)SECONDARY SAFTEY ISSUE: Complete 12v converter failure resulting in the inability to warn or be seen by oncoming traffic while operating a Class 3+ 200lb 8000watt Ebike with pedals potentially resulting in SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.

7.) Apon publicly reviewing this product as unsafe and as Goat Power Bikes claims “slandering their company.” Goat Power Bikes proceeded to void my warranty in an effort to silence my 1st amendment constitutional rights to WARN THE COMMUNITY. RESULT: This left me unable to pursue repairs that could protect me from severe physical harm or death and hendered my ability to WARN others of the same.
