No one hurt Made Nov 26, 2016, sent to the company Dec 6, 2016, published by CPSC Dec 20, 2016
The product, in the report: 2015 Polaris RZR 900
After having the fuel line recall fixed on our 2015 Polaris RZR 900 at our local Polaris dealership and picking it up on November 17th 2016 my husband took it out today 11/26/2016 for a ride around our home with 2 of our 3 boys. After only riding 10min the RZR cut off and wouldn’t cut back on he looked over his shoulder to see something dripping from the passenger back tire then he saw what looked like flames coming from under the RZR so he got our boys out and he put it in neutral and rolled it forward but the flames followed the RZR catching the grass on fire and that’s when he saw gas dripping and gas fireballs coming off the backend of our RZR and at that point all he could do was watch our RZR go up in flames along with the field and a telephone pole. Luckily the fire department got there quickly and got it put out before near by homes caught fire.
