The product, in the report: Kawasaki KRX 1000 UTV Side by Side 2020 and 2021 model years
My 2020 Kawasaki KRX1000 side by side UTV came out of high gear while traveling down a steep left hand section at Hatfield McCoy trails in WV. I almost went over the side of the cliff due to loss of engine braking!!!!! The shifter was still in high gear so the problem was not in the cab but somewhere in the transmission. I ran into another KRX rider that day and he was having the same problem. I got on the Kawasaki KRX forum that night and many KRX owners are having the same problem. Loss of engine braking is a huge safety issue that Kawasaki is aware of but is NOT issuing a recall as per their reply to me.
