No one hurt Made Sep 13, 2020, sent to the company Oct 8, 2020, published by CPSC Nov 10, 2020
The product, in the report: Gator Utility Vehicle XUV550 Serial Number 1M05550TB4DM024019 John Deere Recall Shifter and cables and vehicle becomes hot at times.
My John Deere Gator Utility Vechicle XUV550 year 2013 Serial 1M0550TB4DM024019 (0MM164559 H1) shifter and cables continue to break this is a constant safety issue that resulted in me losing control of the gator and hitting a vineyard end post and cracking the back of the gator bed. This item is very dangerous and I have informed and written John Deere about how it should have a safety recall. The gator also gets very hot easily and could set on fire. The shifter was broken when it was delivered to my farm and I have to pay just about every 3 to 6 months for a mechanic to repair it including parts and labor with [REDACTED] company in Fresno California. My most recent purchase due to a faulty shifter and cable was made on September 11, 2020. I thought due to the accident and the number of times the gator has broken I should contact your site and inform you that this Utility Vehicle is unsafe and I should be at the very least offered a large discount on a new one or have the entire gator replaced at no charge.
