UPDATE FROM CONSUMER: I contacted BRP in Quebec Canada and told them there a problem with their upper control arm that my inner upper control arm bushing and the main upper control arm bolt just broke at speeds of 5 to 10 mph on a Coconino national forest path. And I told them this could cause someone to get hurt or killed if they were going at high speed and I also told them it should be looked into and made into a recall. Their comment to me was we can’t help you because you have no coverage. I been a NYC parks mechanic for thirty years and been working on cars trucks and motorcycle and tons of other machines and I never seen a main control arm bolt break, or control arm steel bushing fatigue and crack before. They always just wear and have play in them. This bolt & steel bushing just broke leaving me stranded on a forest path cause me to have it tow by a tow truck causing my vacation cut in half and 450 dollar tow bill & a 182.71 part bill & a fifteen thousand utv out of service for three weeks now. I removed the parts and show it to the service manager at Ride now Power sport in Peoria 8546 w ludlow drive suite 100 Peoria AZ 85381 phone # 623 334 3434, He felt that the part were probably made wrong from the factory . I felt the parts should have been built bigger and more stronger . I started to work on it today again and removed the left side to check the condition & found the inner steel bushing just starting to crack. These commanders XT 1000 is maintained to the fullest and always check from top to bottom in my shop with an auto lift before going on vacation with it, and there was no play in the front end parts at all before I left.
