Emergency room Made Jul 8, 2013, sent to the company Jul 26, 2013, published by CPSC Aug 16, 2013
The product, in the report: (62” D x 16” H) inflatable plastic baby pool
The consumer’s 8 year old, 48” tall, son got into the pool and slid across it. The son hit his left knee on the pool drain plug and sustained a deep laceration. The son got out of the pool screaming and the consumer saw that his knee was bleeding. A neighbor came over and applied pressure to the son’s wound, while the consumer prepared to take him to the hospital. Approximately, 10 minutes passed between the son’s injury and her getting him to the hospital. The son was taken to Champlain Valley Physician’s Hospital. Three staples were applied to the son’s left knee. The son was released the same day. He is scheduled to go back in 7 - 10 days to have the staples removed.
The consumer has been administering pain medication for the son’s wound.
The drain plug is approximately 1/2” to 1” high and is located about 1” from the outside, bottom edge of the pool. The plug actually folds over to close the hole in the pool. The son actually cut his leg on the flap that connects the plug that closes the hole in the pool. The consumer felt the edge of that flap and she said that it is extremely sharp.
The consumer plans to contact the mfr. at a later time.

Hurt, no treatment Made Jun 3, 2012, sent to the company Jun 12, 2012, published by CPSC Jun 26, 2012
The product, in the report: Wild Waves water park it has an inflatable slide with an arch and basketball goal and sprinkler.
My family purchased the Wild Waves water park by Banzai pool / Toyquest at WalMart on nicholasville road in lexington, kentucky. We set up the pool according to the directions. The slide is NOT functional at all. We tied it down and it still causes the children to fall off no matter how they approach it. The bottom floats up since it is air filled and we worry that over time it would tear the bottom of the pool or that a child could become trapped underneath. After removing the slide due to safety concerns.the problem comes at the bottom of the pool in that there are 4 little plastic anchors that have bruised and scraped my child numerous times. I contacted the company regarding this via email and they informed me they passed an inspection prior to releasing the pool. It is my belief this pool is NOT safe with or without the slide and that any injury no matter how small is far too many. The company refused to work with me on returning so I contacted walmart who immediately told me to return the pool to their store for a full refund. I have read many reviews online about children who have been harmed while using this pool and I believe strongly that it should be recalled. Thank you for your time!

No one hurt Made May 29, 2012, sent to the company Jun 5, 2012, published by CPSC Jun 26, 2012
The product, in the report: Banzai wild waves water park? Children’s inflatable pool
Banzai wild waves water park inflatable pool has an inflatable ladder/slide that ties to the bottom of the pool in four places. It does not lie flat when tied as tightly as possible and floats above the floor of the pool. Me grandson came down the slide and slipped from the side of the slide. His head became trapped under the slide. I pulled him free preventing him from drowning. If he had not been holding his breath when he went down the slide he would have suffered a serious injury.

No one hurt Made Jun 17, 2011, published by CPSC Jul 12, 2011
The product, in the report: Banzai Slide ‘N Spray Giraffe Pool - Children’s Pool - Product Dimensions 16.5” x 12.1” x 4.6”
Regarding: Product #18595 - Banzai Spray ‘N Splash Giraffe Pool, Manufactured in China for ToyQuest of Los Angeles, CA and purchased from Toys-R-Us on May 8, 2011.
1. This pool has an inflatable giraffe’s head that when connected to a hose is supposed to remain erect and provide a gentle spray for the user(s). However, it cannot be hooked up to a hose as designed; too little water pressure and the head will not stand, enough pressure to maintain support creates too fine and painful (ultimately harmful) a spray for even an adult.
2. The pool also has an inflatable slide that is supposed to be held down (inside of pool only) by two plastic anchors on the bottom of the pool via tying down with two provided pieces of rope (string). However, even with the pool filled with water, the inflated (I tried varying pressures) ladder pulls up the bottom and floats, causing it to bob and sway even while being climbed upon by my 30+lb boys making it far too unstable for even supervised use without the risk of injury.
It is my sincere belief that this product is unsafe as designed and will eventually result in a sever injury to someone’s child.
