  1. No one hurt

Made Aug 27, 2012, sent to the company Sep 10, 2012, published by CPSC Sep 24, 2012

The product, in the report: MC_ZS_E Verona 150cc Retro motor scooter, pink and white, V.I.N. L5YTCKPA2C1119271,

I purchased three MC_ZS_E Verona 150cc motor scooters from Sunny Sports Inc. of Chino California. They were delivered by private shipper. I uncrated them and installed the handle bars, requiring four bolts. Installed the batteries. Added fuel as per handbook, not to overfill. checked oil levels. Tried to start. All three were extremely problematic. Sputter, not excellerate, cough and die. After failing to start, all of them would begin to dump fuel from the vapor recovery canister located under the seat. They all will leak for hours after trying to start, and they are not equipped with a fuel shut off. I had to move these out of the garage as they are an extreme fire hazard. And if they were to again start, the fuel in the fume recovery would ignite and catch on fire under the seat. And all the components under and including the seat are plastic. These are extremely dangerous to life and property. Contacted the company no less than 8 times and they show no concern. Have e-mail contacts for each to company and their service department. Not one but all three are the same, try to start, follow the starting instructions to the T, start fails, gas starts spewing out of the carbon canister for vapor recovery. I purchased these for my wife and daughter to ride. These are unsafe and unrideable.
