No one hurt Made Jun 29, 2019, sent to the company Jul 18, 2019, published by CPSC Aug 1, 2019
The product, in the report: eScooter - Used to commute
I was riding the scooter to the ferry building and it started to overheat. The device started accelerating on it’s own and could not be stopped. The head unit began to heat up and then a burst of flame came out of the head unit. The manufacturer stated that it was a user mistake because the unit got wet. However, the eScooter was also marketed as a commuter item. Which means that it should have been made for both dry and wet weather. I am very concerned that it a child were to use the scooter and somehow it gets wet, it can easily hurt a child.

First aid Made Dec 12, 2017, sent to the company Mar 15, 2018, published by CPSC Mar 30, 2018
The product, in the report: Swagtron Swagger high Speed Electric Scooter
Front fork of electric scooter connection to front wheel disconnects from front wheel without warning. connection is apparently made of carbon fiber and is brittle over time. No user serviceable parts for tightening or adjusting are available per the manufacturer. I fell and cracked my head on the sidewalk as well as injured my leg. I looked on line and there are several other people who have been injured by this same manufactures defect. I called them and they said they would replace the product but that would not solve the issued of hurting people.

Hurt, no treatment Made Dec 26, 2016, sent to the company Jan 4, 2017, published by CPSC Jan 19, 2017
The product, in the report: Swagtron T3 Hands Free Smart Board
On 12/24/2016 I purchased a Swagtron T3 as a gift.
My daughter was using it and to get off she followed the directions, take one foot off and step back, the unit swung around and slammed her in the foot that she took off. It is not a stable design.
I have tried getting on the unit, one foot first as written in the instructions, and the units moves around and is difficult to for me at least its always doing that - it is not stable with one foot on it .. it also fights against the user during normal use during turning, the instructions seem inaccurate (shift weight to right pedal to turn left doesn’t work), the instuctions talks about discharging the battery for storage but doesn’t say how to do that), the unit turns off after charging I don’t know if thats normal, no explanation of what different blinking lights means, etc. I have gone though their calibration and this does not affect anything its still not stable for me.
I contacted Swagtron at 844-299-0625 today 12/26/2016 at 2pm and it is not possible to contact anyone and there is no option to leave a message with them.
