The product, in the report: Mercane widewheel scooter
We purchased this widewheel scooter for our son for getting around campus. He is living in the dorms at [REDACTED]. He only had the scooter about 1 to 2 weeks. He called me and said he braked and lost control and crashed it into a bike rack to avoid crashing into pedestrians. The scooter broke from the handle and pole that goes into the base of the scooter. Luckily he was not hurt.
A few days later I received a email from Amazon that this scooter has been recalled for bad brakes.
