The product, in the report: Vee Tire G-Sport MPC Compound. It is a bicycle tire intended for city/commuter/pavement uses. We have experienced dozens of them blowing off of the bicycle rim when inflated to the correct PSI. We have 150 dealers across the USA and multiple dealers have experienced this problem with this tire as well. It is unfit for sale in the US marketplace and a safety concern to all consumers.
We are an OEM partner of Vee Tire Company, a bicycle tire manufacturer. In our short partnership with them we purchased ~2000 tires from them their “Vee Tire G-Sport 700x39 MPC Compound”. We have had dozens of cases of these tires blowing off of rims which provides a huge safety issue. Upon providing over one dozen photographs, serial numbers, etc Vee Tire has been unwilling to help us rectify this safety issue.

The product, in the report: Model is Apache Fatty Slick, 26” x 4.5”, black
Installed a bike tire and inflated to middle of rated pressure range. After riding a total of approximately 50 miles over the course of several days, the tire experienced a sudden catastrophic failure. While hanging on the wall (fortunately not while riding), the front tire blew off the rim and the inner tube was shredded. The tires itself is damaged beyond repair. No one was injured in this incident, but if someone had been riding the bike at the time or had been in the vicinity, they could have been injured.
The tire brand is Vee Tire Company. Model is Apache Fatty Slick.
