The product, in the report: 2010 Trek District Bicycle Single speed belt drive Bicycle

I am an early 50’s male and was riding my 2010 Trek District bicycle when suddenly the seat bolt snapped which made a loud snap sound and the seat shot out the back of the bicycle.

That caused the seat post to be exposed and since I was on the down pedal the weight of my body caused the seat post to impale me 51/2 “ deep in the perineum and sever my urethra. In the ensuing fall from the bicycle, I broke several bones in my hand that required surgery.

The bicycle is a 2010 Model Trek District. I purchased the bicycle new from a trek dealer and it has been stored indoors and gets regular use.
