Hurt, care not known Made Oct 5, 2021, sent to the company Oct 7, 2021, published by CPSC Oct 22, 2021
The product, in the report: It’s used by bicyclists to get capture the upward movement of legs when cycling. It is called a toe clip and it is attached to the pedals.
Bicycle toe clips manufactured by Dimension contributed to a serious accident. I made a sharp turn on my bike to avoid an obstacle and wound up on the pavement. When I tried to get up, I discovered to my horror that my right shoe was locked into the toe clip. No matter how much I tried to remove my foot it was hopeless. I was stuck on the pavement of a busy street and fearful of being run over. Fortunately, a good Samaritan pulled me up. I just suffered a bad scrap to my knee. Later in the day, I had the toe clips removed.
