The product, in the report: Adult Racing Bike

The consumer says his children bought him a high performance bike at Dick Sporting goods. In September of 2011 he was moving at a high rate of speed down a hill. He felt something go wrong with the handle bar. The handle broke, he fell near a bush and injured his groin. The consumer says it developed into a hernia. The consumer contacted an attorney who told him there was no severe injury so they would not pursue it. The consumer called the retailer who said since he did not have an extended warranty there was nothing they can do. The consumer says the bike has never received any repairs and hasn’t been in any other accident. He was traveling at 30 miles per hour at the time of the incident. The consumer fell on a dirt grass service. The retailer has referred him to another company who says they have nothing to do with that bike. Consumer Added: I have attempted to contact manufacterer. South Bay is a jobber and provided no help. Bad phone number/contact information given to me by Dick’s for Realm. The Realm owner I contacted with information provided by Dick’s infor (phone # they provided) says he has told Dick’s that they are giving out bad info, but they continue.
