No one hurt Made Jul 23, 2025, sent to the company Jul 28, 2025, published by CPSC Aug 18, 2025
The product, in the report: Kenda alluvium pro tire (https://www.poseidonbike.com/products/kenda-alluvium-pro-tire?variant=45783302471908) Poseidon thru axle conversion kit: https://www.poseidonbike.com/products/thru-axle-conversion-kit?variant=40123941716119
the front tire on my bike exploded while going slowly up a hill. I brought it to a local bike shop and they did not see any damage to the rim from abruptly crashing on the asphalt so have continued to ride it and get it regularly serviced twice per year.
It just happened again, this time going ~25-30 mph downhill. Feel very lucky to not have been seriously injured.

The product, in the report: 27.2mm one-bolt seat post from a Poseidon Triton bicycle, size 56CM, color Interstellar Blue, purchased February 2023
While pedaling a Poseidon Triton bicycle on a rural road, the seat post spontaneously fractured at the bolt that attaches to the saddle rails. The seat no longer being attached to the bicycle resulted in a fall and laceration that required stitches.
