The product, in the report: Ozone Eastwind 700 Bicycle Model GS157806
I purchased a Ozone Eastwind 700 street bike from Academy sports in Jonesboro Arkansas. I was riding it through town and all the sudden the bike locked up and I flew over the handlebars. I received a fractured hand, cuts on face, hands, elbow, knees. When I got up, I found that the front forks on the bike bent back. Causing the tire to come into contact with the frame. It immediately stopped the bike throwing me off. The forks have been pressed the the bend of the forks. That’s where it bent. I have witnesses that saw me thrown from the bike, and state that the surface was smooth. I always park my bike in the house. It’s well kept. When purchased from Academy Sports there were no labels or manual attached. A sales associate came and had me straddle the bike and told me it was the right size bike. The assistant manager after the accident told me that due to the Covid, bike have been selling so fast they were able to keep them tagged. But, since they are putting a ringlet type tag on every bike with it information.
