The product, in the report: “Nutcase Helmets” bicycle bell with multicolored hearts design.
Soon after purchase, bicycle bell lever stopped retracting, disabling the ability to signal to pedestrians, other cyclists, or motorists. Turns out there is no spring inside the bell to make the lever retract - it relies on a piece of plastic that doesn’t work to re-set the bell after use. This bell does not function properly as a safety device, nor is it labeled that it’s a toy and should not be relied upon to signal danger or avoid crashes.
First noticed the problem in November, about two months after purchase, at a busy intersection where it is important to signal to other people in the street.
