The product, in the report: Bicycle Tires bought from bikenashbar.com Order [REDACTED] Manuf: 4ZA (FORZA) Cirrus Road I have the tire that failed which clearly shows it broke loose on the sidewall.
Bought new tires from Bike Nashbar.com Order #[REDACTED]. These are road racing performance slick tires. But, all other manufacturers that make a ‘slick’ includes a ‘sticky’ rubber piece on the sides, 45 degrees from the centerline. This is so that if you rock the bike back and forth when climbing hills, etc, the tire wont slip out. This tire appears to have no such softer rubber and 1st time I stood up out of the saddle, the rear tire failed to get traction and threw me over the handlebars landing on my helmet (which is now destroyed) as well as I landed on my ribs on the bike frame (which broke) causing 8 broken ribs and punctured lung for me.
The manufacturer of these bad tires is 4ZA model Cirrus Road and Cirrus Pro road. Bike nashbar phone number is 877-688-8600. My phone is [REDACTED]
I have ridden and raced bicycles for the past 25 years so I know how to ride a bicycle, These are just bad and unsafe tires.
