The product, in the report: Bike alert light
Consumer purchased bike alert lights from 2 different retailers in Santa Monica, CA over the years. The consumer stated that the light goes out instantly when the bike goes through a bump or shock.
The consumer previously thought that the problem occurred because the battery in the product was dead after being in the product for a while.
About a month ago, the consumer purchased the light from Busy Bee Hardware (Santa Monica, CA) and the consumer stated that the product went out after riding bicycle for 2 blocks. The consumer contacted the retailer and they informed him that they would test the product. The retailer later notified the consumer that the product works fine.
The consumer wrote to the CPO of LA in an email about 3 weeks ago, but has not heard back from them yet.
The consumer stated the lights were not packaged, but sold loosely.
The product is not included in any recalls.
The consumer believes that this product is a safety hazard as the light can go out without the rider being aware of it.
There are two models: red and white/red. The consumer has the red light.
