The product, in the report: 21” speed 29” wheel mountain bike
On 6/8/2012 the consumer stated while carrying his 21 speed bike up the stairs he noticed that the front wheel was very loose and wobbly. He took the bike to the retailer on 6/11/2012 and they advised him that he would have to leave the bike overnight in the repair shop. On 6/12/2012 when he went to retrieve the bike they informed him that the gap spacer was the issue and it was repaired.
The manufacturer was contacted 6/11/2012 prior to going into the retailer for repair, but he received no assistance from them.
On 6/21/2012 the consumer stated that after 25 to 30 miles worth of rides the front wheel became very wobbly again.
The consumer feels that the bike is a safety issue because it could cause him to fall off the bike and injure himself at any point.
