No incident, no one hurt Made Sep 22, 2011, sent to the company Sep 30, 2011, published by CPSC Oct 17, 2011
The product, in the report: Helmet, Disney Pixar Cars, Manufactured in China for Pacific Cycle, 4906 Hammersley Rd., Madison, WI 53711, item No. CR75933
Nothing as yet happened. I am only reporting of a very potential problems that could cause serious injury to a child using this helmet. The Helmet, a Disney Pixar Cars, item # CR75933 has a strap that is secured to the outside shell. If the helmet snags something while the child is riding a bike, the helmet can go back causing the straps to strangle the child. Most helmets have the strap secured to the inner shell, which would break apart in this kind of an accident. This helmet, however, has very strong straps that have no safety release mechanism. I feel that this product should immediately be recalled. The product is manufactured in China for PacificCycle, 4902 Hammersley Rd, Madison, WI 53711. Thank you, [REDACTED]
