The product, in the report: Giant Defy road bike, 2013 model year. Blue color Model: 13 Defy Composite 3L, Serial Number: GG2B870
On August 8, 2015, I was participating in a 100 mile bicycle ride. In just over 25 miles into the ride, the seat support bolt broke in half at the point where the bolt enters the seat post. The breaking of the bolt cause the seat to drop which resulting in me being thrown to the road immediately. I sustained several injuries resulting from the crash. My right leg sustained several cuts and scrapes to the ankle, calf, knee, and hip, my right arm was cut and scraped on the elbow and two fingers received deep cuts. My right shoulder is very sore since this was the part of me that impacted the road surface first. Luckily, no bones were broken that were x-rayed by the local hospital (knee, hip and elbow).
