The product, in the report: BV Bike Panniers Bags (Pair), Large Capacity, 14 L (each pannier), Black with Detachable Shoulder Straps and All Weather Rain Covers
During my bike ride home from work on Friday June 16 one of the newly purchased bike panniers (saddle bags) were caught in the rear spokes of the bicycle. I was thrown off the bike and impacted the sidewalk. I received large but minor road rash type scrapes on my left leg and arm. The panniers were a gift given to me in May so I didn’t purchase them myself. After the incident I checked the reviews on Amazon.com and found that there were several reviewers that stated they had the same problem.
It appears that the backing material on the panniers is not stiff enough to keep the bag from flexing to the point were it could be pulled into the spokes.
