The product, in the report: Breezer Downtown 8 urban bike. Serial number WBD229E0178K
I purchased a brand-new Breezer Downtown 8 bicycle from Drake Cyclery in Fort Collins, Colorado on June 14, 2016. On June 18, 2016 I was riding in an organized bike ride and the left pedal fell off the bike. The bearings in the pedal froze up causing the pedal to unscrew itself while I pedaled.

The product, in the report: Breezer Downtown Ex - Grey / 60cm Bicycle
I was riding my Breezer Downtown Ex bicycle to work as normal. After stopping at a stop light, when the light turned green I began peddling and the right pedal crank arm broke in half and I swerved left from the bike lane into traffic. Fortunately traffic was moving slowly and nothing bad happened, but I was extremely surprised by this, as I’ve had the bike less than a year, only ride it on city roads, and take very good care of it.
