The product, in the report: https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2016/box-components-recalls-bmx-bicycle-forks. same product listed in this recall and my is XE-20”
Bought a bike that has a BOX XE carbon fork. After a few days, I found the fork steering shaft was loose causing the bike handle to a left and right play. This causes delays on turning during the race and leads to a few bike falls.
While looking for way to fix this issue myself, I found this product has a recall for this issue. https://www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2016/box-components-recalls-bmx-bicycle-forks. I contacted BOX and they advised this fork is not the recall batch and only can provide 15% off on the replacement. Which does not make sense to me as the my fork has same issue as the recalled batch and seems they have not fix the issue that cause the recall of the forks.
