First aid Made Apr 8, 2026, sent to the company Apr 10, 2026, published by CPSC Apr 24, 2026
The product, in the report: Ultrahuman Ring Air, gold
I purchased an Ultrahuman Ring Air and wore it under normal conditions. Shortly after receiving the ring, I felt a burning sensation while wearing it on my finger. When I removed the ring, there was a visible burn mark.
The burn has since developed into a raised, discolored scar. It is still sensitive and becomes irritated when anything rubs against it.
More recently, the ring physically failed without any impact or misuse. The plastic inner portion of the ring cracked and appears to have partially melted, creating a sharp edge. The edge makes it unsafe to wear and could cut my skin.
I did not expose the ring to extreme heat or conditions that would explain this failure. The product was used as intended.
I am concerned this product may present a burn and safety hazard.

No one hurt Made Mar 23, 2026, sent to the company Mar 26, 2026, published by CPSC Apr 9, 2026
The product, in the report: Ultrahuman smart ring wearable health tracker. Color: Matte Grey, Size: Size 8. The device consists of a titanium outer shell, a resin inner shell housing sensors and a lithium-ion battery, and a proprietary charging dock.
I am reporting a severe battery failure and fire hazard involving a wearable health tracker called the Ultrahuman Ring. Over my warranty period, I experienced constant hardware failures, requiring five separate replacement rings. Recently, while attempting to charge one of the defective rings on its proprietary charging dock, the device became pretty hot to the touch.
The internal lithium-ion battery rapidly expanded, causing massive physical bumps to form on the ring’s casing. The swelling was so severe that the ring became physically stuck to the charger. The product was being used exactly as intended for charging. Fortunately, no injuries occurred because I noticed the extreme heat and disconnected it before it could catch fire or explode, but the device poses a severe thermal runaway risk. I had previously contacted their support about another ring not connecting, but the issue with the battery on the previous ring did not happen yet, so Ultrahuman was not contacted about the expanding battery.
