The product, in the report: Eagles Nest Hammock
The consumer purchased the hammock that his only used 3 times since its purchased date. The consumer stated that as he was sitting on the hammock, it collapsed. The hammock was only a foot off the ground, when he fell and hit the ground. The consumer examined the hammock realized he felled because of defective knot contained in the hammock roping, which was hidden by the fabric.
The consumer contacted the manufacture and the representative that spoke to him recognized that they used the incorrect knot for that particular product. They offered to replace the product and the consumer declined.
The consumer believes this is a serious and dangerous defect, which he suspected permeates the rest of the product line. He stated that while he was not injured, he fully expect that some customers will suffer serious if not life threatening injuries. He believes that this product needs to be fully investigated.
