   On Aug 19, 2025 around 6:30pm after dinner , my son went to the basement and sat in his hammock swing chair. Heard a loud sound ( as something fell or hit ) ran downstair and called out to my son are you okay , I notice the hammock was on the floor (broke off the hanger (swirl ring part) and my son’s back towards me trying to stand up. I turned him towards me to see if he was injured. He was saying where are you, blood was coming out of this nose and blood coming out from the right side of his head. I looked and there was a deep cut on his scalp and screamed for my husband. I applied pressure to the wound on his head with hand towel to try to stop bleeding. We took him to the [REDACTED] Emergency Department and my son kept on asking what happened and what time it was, he could not see us just heard our voices.

   From the looks of it - The hanger broke off at the ring ( which is welded ,since this part cannot be removed ) this is a faulty design and not safe , the swivel treaded ring piece broken off found on the floor and was intact with the hammock chain quick link hook connector ( see our pictures of defective part attached ) and the defective welded nut on the floor opposite of the Hammock. The washer is near or straight down on the floor. You can see that the nut was apparently welded or something (faulty welding job) on to that treaded defective ring. I really don’t know what to say but that this piece should have Never Broken Off . This caused my son to fall with the hammock down and back hitting his head against the exercise equipment. He has laceration to scalp ( 4 staples) , right side at occipital bone depressed skull fracture and a blood clot in the main vein in brain, including Concussion; Balance, Visual and Hearing Issues; Headaches; Vomiting; Cognitive, Metabolic and Neurological issues. Four CT scans were done at hospital and currently seen the neurosurgeon ( for another CT done on Sept 26th ) and a visit with neurologist on Oct 7th and ( MRI and MVR) will be done on November 24th. He was in hospital from Aug 19 to Aug 22, 2025

   Amazon , the manufacturer, the retailer , the designer, etc., need to be held accountable. ( they’re all responsible for this DEFECT in selling, claiming that this product is Safe, Strong, Durable -- “stainless steel 304 heavy duty hanger 180 degree 360 degree swing 1200lbs, durable, safe etc “ as advertised on the amazon web site and also on march 4 2021 9M applied for trademark patent registration in the united states number 90845661

   This product is NOT SAFE, it broke and has caused traumatic injury to my son that will be with him for the rest of his life.
