The product, in the report: Trek Marlin 5 gen 2, large, red with radius brakes.
Trek Marlin 5 with radius brakes quickly and suddenly lost all rear-breaking power within first hour of riding.
The brakes on the spec sheet are listed as, “Tektro HD-M275”. When I spoke with a trek employee they said due to supply chain issues they had been swapped with “radius brakes” These radius brakes failed and began leaking within the first hour of riding. A quick internet search leads me to believe many of these swapped/replacement brakes are lemons out of the box.
