The product, in the report: Large frame mountain bicycle, Genesis V2100. Note: the photo upload tool does not work. Feel free to email me at [REDACTED] for pictures of the tire/crown clearance problem.
Front tire contacts the crown of the suspension fork. Upon compression (hitting a bump), the front tire becomes pinched, instantly stopping the front wheel. An accident and minor injuries resulted from the sudden stoppage of the front wheel.
The bicycle came equipped with 27.5” wheels. The fork appears to be suited for 26” wheels. Sudden wheel stoppage occurs within the specified compression range of the fork. There appears to be no defect with the fork. Rather, it is suspected this is a design defect. It is not mechanically possible to compress the front suspension through it’s full range with the front wheel rotating.
