The product, in the report: Black Mountain Bicycle - DBX - DBXVANQ11/B/ Purchased from Dick’s Sporting Goods 822688999458 _ DBX Vanquish with Black and Red Stripes
My 14 year old son was riding the DBX Bicycle we purchased from Dick’s Sporting Goods, with 2 of his friends in the [REDACTED]. While riding his bicycle the front wheel came detached from the front forks of the bicycle causing the forks to hit the cement and my son to fall from his bicycle onto the asphalt, scraping up the entire left side of his body starting with his nose, a huge gash to his elbow, scrapes on his shoulder, side, and ankle. Fortunately he was wearing long pants which protected his legs.
I took a picture of the broken spring and still have both the wheel and bicycle.
We actually purchased a 2 year replacement warranty through Dick’s Sporting Goods and were never contacted about this [REDACTED].
