Emergency room Made Oct 2, 2023, sent to the company Oct 5, 2023, published by CPSC Oct 20, 2023
The product, in the report: A seat that attaches to a hoverboard so you can sit down and ride on the hoverboard.
My son was sitting on a chair swinging his foot and tapping it on the front of his Hovertrax Cart when the entire seat flew up and the flag that is attached to the seat poked him right below his left eye. He was bleeding and his eye ball was injured. He ended up with stitches under his eye and has traumatic mydriasis and has to get glasses to be able to see with his left eye.

First aid Made Aug 31, 2021, sent to the company Sep 2, 2021, published by CPSC Sep 17, 2021
The product, in the report: Battery pack for Razor Hovertrax 2.0. GLW brand. Model GR3691
Razor Hovertrax 2.0 GLW battery produced in 2020 has a defect that charges to 36 volts but suddenly drops to 15 volts after 10-20 mins of use and throws the kids off the board and shuts down. Even did it to me when i was testing it. So far no serious injuries just bruises and cuts from being thrown off suddenly. I had enough reaction to catch myself when it suddenly cut out. never had the issue before but never ran it the full life either because all the kids were learning on it and only spent like 10-20 increments of time. So, no idea if it had the issues the entire time and didn’t notice till now or just started. Use is on pavement and usually pretty slow on driveway or in the house. I tried to contact Razor about the issue with the battery and said I have to buy a new battery. Pretty much didn’t care that it had a defect and I was on my own. I have another Hovertrax 2.0 but has a different battery manufacture and has no issues. So, seems GLW batteries may be the issue? (assumption based off my experience) Other hoverboard was part of the GLW recall of 2016 and 17.

The product, in the report: This is the Hovertrax 2.0 Self-Balancing Scooters/Hoverboards with GLW Battery Packs
The razor started putting off smoke while it was charging in the house. We had to unplug it and remove it from the home. I am thankful that we were home because if it had continued it would have turned to fire. The razor is not operable due to this incident.

The product, in the report: Razor Hovertrax 2.0 Hoverboard Self-Balancing Smart Scooter
My daughter just turned on her hoverboard and it started spinning out of control. It crashed into her, chairs and broke her shoe. It also left tire marks and what looks like burnt marks on our rug. I turned it on 10 minutes later and took a video. It did the same thing. It was very scary.
