The product, in the report: Self-balancing scooter (hoverboard), Model G13, manufactured by Shenzhen Chitade Technology Co., Ltd. Purchased from Amazon on November 28, 2025.
On Saturday, January 3, 2026, at approximately 3:00 PM, my 9-year-old daughter was riding the hoverboard outside in our driveway under normal conditions.
Without warning, the hoverboard malfunctioned. The wheels suddenly stopped responding and failed to turn, causing an abrupt loss of balance. She was flung from the device and fell to the ground.
This was not due to speed, misuse, or loss of balance by the rider. The device experienced a sudden mechanical failure involving wheel control.
