The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Jetson Hex Big Wheel Kick Scooter, Pink.

14 year old daughter was riding a pink Jetson Hex kick scooter JHEX-PNK on a flat sidewalk when the spokes on the front wheel shattered. She flew off the scooter and received several scrapes and road rash. She did not require hospitalization or professional medical treatment. Sidewalk is flat and she was not going over a bump or rough terrain, was not doing a stunt, or anything out of the ordinary. There was no visual evidence that the scooter was damaged prior to this. She is less than 5 feet tall and under 100 pounds. The scooter has been stored indoors during the winter and not subjected to harsh weather. Scooter was purchased toward the end of 2021 and given as a Christmas present.

The product, in the report: Jetson Hex 8” Kick Wheel Scooter https://www.samsclub.com/p/jetson-hex-folding-kick-scooter/prod26050127

10 year old daughter fell off of an unmotorized scooter because the tiny metal pin used to hold the handles from folding snapped. The pin is way too small to handle the pressure point of holding the handlebars up. This could cause injury to a child because of a manufacture defect of safety.

The product, in the report: kid’s two wheel scooter

The product was received and assembled on 8/26/2020. Within 24 hours of her 8 year child riding the product, the front wheel would not stay in place, causing the child to fall. The wheel kept turning to the right making the scooter hard to steer.

The consumer contacted the firm on 8/28 to advised them of the issue. The firm sent a replacement scooter. The consumer received the replacement on 10/15. After the consumer’s child rode it for a day, the same thing happened with the replacement.

The consumer contacted the firm again on 10/18 to let them know that the same thing happened with the replacement scooter and asked for a refund. The consumer also sent photos and a video. The firm offered to send an upgraded model.

The consumer stated that the same thing happened with the upgraded model.

The consumer stated that her child fell each time and received bruises and scrapes. No medical attention was required.
