The product, in the report: ZDZA electric scooter. Model ZD01. Color is black.
In November 2024 we purchased a ZDZA electric scooter (model ZD01) from Amazon off the ZDZA store. Recently I discovered the scooter would not hold a charge in the battery so I removed the cover at the bottom of the scooter where the battery is located and noticed that there was a burn pattern on the battery pack. I removed the battery pack and found that the circuit board connected to the batteries had a large area that was burned and fired several circuit. I contacted the company and they said there is nothing they can do due to the scooter only having a year warranty. But my concern is the battery could have caused an electrical fire. This scooter was always stored in our garage where it would be plugged in to charge. The company also said that they no longer had replacement batteries for this model scooter, which is odd since it was only 2 years old. This sounded to me like they knew the batteries were faulty and stopped selling them in the newer scooters. Luckily no injuries or damage was done.
