Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Electric scooter, [REDACTED] company, purchase from Walmart website [REDACTED]

On August 10, 2026, I was riding my electric scooter when a sudden, dangerous mechanical failure occurred. Without warning, the screws holding the front assembly together popped loose and detached completely. As a direct result, the front wheel separated and came apart from the frame while the scooter was in motion, causing an immediate loss of control and leading to a severe incident. Since the failure occurred, I have been attempting to seek accountability and resolution for this dangerous defect. I reported the incident to Walmart, where the scooter was acquired, and was assigned a claim. However, despite over a month passing since August 10, the process has stalled, with claims representatives stating they are still waiting to receive and review in-store video footage before providing an update. No formal resolution or explanation regarding the defective hardware has been provided yet.
