The product, in the report: Elecorange T500 Balance Electric Scooter for Kids Age 4-9, 2 Types Front Wheels, Electric Horn, Full Body Lights Up, Wide Deck, 5Mph Safe Speed, 70min Riding, Foldable Kick Scooter Boys & Girl Brand: Elecorange Model: T500 Electric Scooter Battery: 21.6V 2Ah Manufacturing Date: 05-25 Batch Number: CYK1DD05 Date of Purchase: June 8th, 2026

Urgent Safety Complaint Elecorange T500 Electric, Battery Failure, Fire Hazard, and Injury Incident

I am filing this complaint because I believe the product presents a significant safety hazard that requires immediate attention. Product Information: Brand: Elecorange Model: T500 Electric Scooter Battery: 21.6V 2Ah Manufacturing Date: 05-25 Batch Number: CYK1DD05 Date of Purchase: June 8th, 2026 Place of Purchase: MACBID

After purchasing the scooter, I brought it home and fully charged it according to the instructions provided. Once charging was complete, I took the scooter outside to test it before allowing my son to ride it.

Within a very short period of operation, the scooter suddenly malfunctioned without warning. There was an apparent battery failure accompanied by what sounded like an explosion, followed immediately by a large amount of heavy smoke. The bottom plastic section of the scooter began melting, and smoke continued to pour from the unit for an extended period of time.

As the incident unfolded, the scooter became uncontrollable and struck me, causing me to fall to the ground. As a result, I sustained multiple injuries, which are documented in photographs. The incident was both painful and frightening and could have resulted in much more severe consequences. My greatest concern is that this scooter was purchased specifically for my son. Had he been riding the scooter when this battery failure occurred, the outcome could have been catastrophic. The combination of battery failure, excessive smoke, melting components, and loss of control creates an unacceptable safety risk for children and other consumers.

I have retained the scooter, battery, charger, packaging, purchase documentation, and photographs of both the damaged product and my injuries. These materials clearly demonstrate the severity of the incident.

While I sustained injuries during this event, I am thankful that it happened to me rather than my son. No parent should have to worry that a product marketed for children could suddenly fail in such a dangerous manner.

My primary objective in contacting you is to ensure that this dangerous issue is identified and addressed before another child or family is harmed. I believe it is important for the company to thoroughly investigate this matter and take whatever steps are necessary to prevent future injuries.
