Hospital admission Made Jul 18, 2026, sent to the company Jul 23, 2026, published by CPSC Aug 6, 2026
The product, in the report: Dual-motor high-powered off-road electric stand-up scooter. Features a folding handlebar stem, dual 1200W electric hub motors, a 48V lithium-ion battery package, and 140mm mechanical disc brakes mounted on the front and rear wheels.
Catastrophic mechanical system failure during routine, safe operation at 15 to 20 mph. The manufacturer was notified via email of a warped brake rotor hours prior to the crash. The manufacturer actively denied compliant warranty parts and instructed the consumer to perform an unauthorized home modification that violated their own user safety manual.
(07/27/2026) Following the catastrophic failure that caused severe physical injuries, importer X Future Inc. / Circooter executed an unannounced product removal and rebranding maneuver without issuing a formal safety disclosure or recall notice:
1. Product Removal (U.S. Market): The Cruiser Pro model page was quietly removed/scrubbed from their U.S. storefront. 2. Inventory Dumping (Canadian Market): The exact Cruiser Pro model remains active and listed for sale on their Canadian platform (circooter.ca) marked down to liquidate remaining inventory. 3. Rebranding & Pre-Sale: The company has launched a rebranded model, the “Transio Pro Off-Road Electric Scooter,” on their U.S. site for pre-order, built on an identical structural chassis and component layout.
