The product, in the report: Apollo Scooter, Explore 2.0.
Apollo Scooters delivered an e-scooter with a defective throttle. The throttle is sticky, and it can prevent the scooter from slowing down. We attempted to resolve the defect with the company for months, and the defect eventually caused an accident with an injury.

No incident, no one hurt Made Jul 8, 2025, sent to the company Jul 11, 2025, published by CPSC Jul 25, 2025
The product, in the report: Applo City Pro 2022, dual motor, e-scooter. It has a folding latch, it is grey, two wheels. It is used as a commuting scooter from home to work and back again. It can go up to 30pmh but I generally right around the speed limit of 15mph.
I was riding my Apollo City Pro Scooter home when the shaft bolt on the latch snapped in half after hitting bump, making the handle bars very loose. At the time I was only going around 5mph, so I was able to regain control and bring it down without falling. If I was going faster, this may have not been the case.
It has the same type of latch as the [REDACTED] that was recalled. I know since Apollo doesn’t supply parts for this scooter model year, I have been looking elsewhere for parts and at other scooters.
