I am requesting executive intervention regarding two defective Alloweek electric scooters (Order #[REDACTED]) that suffered identical structural failures, creating a serious safety hazard. One scooter broke while my son was riding it, forcing him to jump off to avoid an oncoming car. A week later, the second scooter failed in the exact same way while being ridden by a family friend. Both failures occurred at the base of the handlebars, raising concerns about a dangerous manufacturing defect. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I was repeatedly directed to contact the third-party seller, who appears to be unreachable because their contact information is invalid. After numerous customer service interactions, Amazon approved a refund but imposed return requirements that were effectively impossible to meet, including a three-day deadline to obtain oversized packaging and a [REDACTED] pickup that never occurred. Requests for standard prepaid drop-off labels were denied, preventing the return from being completed. Throughout four escalation attempts, customer service provided conflicting information, denied previous refund authorizations, repeatedly instructed me to contact the unavailable seller, and, during some calls, interrupted or disconnected me while I was seeking assistance. I am requesting: A full refund for both scooters, either to a new payment method or as Amazon store credit, without additional return obstacles. An internal investigation into the handling of my case and the customer service representatives involved. A review of the Alloweek seller and removal from the Amazon marketplace if appropriate to protect other customers from potential safety risks.
