The product, in the report: Product Name: Maxx Action Police SUV 12” Motorized Rescue Toy Vehicle Retailer: Target Issue Type: Injury Hazard Sharp Metal Component Description of Incident
Product Name: Maxx Action Police SUV 12” Motorized Rescue Toy Vehicle Retailer: Target Issue Type: Injury Hazard Sharp Metal Component Description of Incident: I purchased the Maxx Action Police SUV toy for my 3-year-old son. The toy includes thin metal lettering on the side (the POLICE decal). After minimal normal usesimply rolling the vehicle across the floorthe metal lettering began to peel off. The exposed metal edge became extremely sharp. My 3-year-old son suffered a deep laceration to his palm after coming into contact with the peeling metal piece. This occurred during normal, age-appropriate play. Safety Concern: The product contains thin metal decorative elements that can easily detach or peel Once lifted, these pieces create razor-sharp edges This presents a serious laceration risk, especially for young children Why This Is Dangerous: This toy is marketed for children, yet contains materials and design features that are not safe for toddler use. A child should not be able to sustain a deep cut simply by rolling a toy car. Requested Action: Immediate investigation into this products safety Consideration of a product recall or redesign Warning to other consumers about potential injury risk
