The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Little Copter E0051 by Hape
We were given a Hape wooden helicopter, marked for children 10m +. We had given to our baby to play with and when I turned around the top of the “safety” screw that held the “safe” wooden helicopter blade to the helicopter was missing. I pulled our baby out of the high chair and immediately did the choking baby procedure and our infant spit it out. The top the screw had fallen off, exposing sharp edges on the screw and the top. Had he swallowed the screw top, about 1/2 inch in diameter he could have died.
We were initially excited about Hape products as they are marketed in toy shops as safer and “all natural” for children. They are made by a German company.
